The Fun Boy Three's first single after departing The Specials.
By the timing of the release of this single it seems that not only was it written but perhaps even recorded prior to their departure from The Specials. Rhoda has since claimed that Terry played her a demo of the track when The Specials were in America during their final gigs. Not surprisingly given the association with The Specials the single met with widespread media interest and received favourable reviews, marking the start of a very successful career for the trio.
The lyrics, in typical Terry Hall style, were a barbed jibe at world leaders and were in a similar vein to Man at C&A. The line "Go nuclear the cowboy told us" was directed at the then U.S. president Ronald Reagan.
