The Two Tone Story
George Marshall
Written in July 1987 this A5 fanzine version of The Two Tone Story was the basis of the commercially available A4 book of the same title. This version is a classic 'photocopy and staples' fanzine production, spread over 32 pages and retailing for a very impressive £1.
Its surprising just how much of the commercially available version is contained within the slender 11 chapters, all of which share the same titles as the A4 version, although budget and technology obviously limited the quantity and quality of graphics available.
The account of the rise and fall of the label is up to the author's usual standards and looses none of its appeal within the confines of a D.I.Y fanzine.
